Whe do you use "si fuera" in a sentence?
What exactly does it mean?....."if"?

Si fuera tu aprendería español en spanishdict.com= If I were you I would learn spanish on spanishdict.com.

an example taken from an old song.... from fiddler in the roof I believe.
the si part is not translated as yes, but instead the probability of if.
