Well, however you say it, be sure to say it with a smile on your face and a song in your voice!

Romantic love: "Lo amo" is preferred in most countries; "le amo" is used in Spain and some other areas.

Friendship love: "lo quiero" or "le quiero"

It is correct to say "Me encanta" if you are talking about a public figure, such as a performer, and you mean "I love him" in the sense that you love his music. "Me encanta Enrique Iglesias." You don't know him personally. Or - maybe you do! smile

I am hopeful that this has helped clarify!

Amo a él

Lo amo.

I think that works too, but the Spanish pronouns seem a bit vague to me. Let's see if someone else agrees. grin

Actually rgrave you're close, the correct answer would be, "Le amo". If you're ever unsure, try the translator also, it's helpful with confirmation on something you're not sure about. (even I use it) grin

Querer means to want or to wish for and it can be also used for expressing love. For example te quiero means I love you. However, amar means to love and this is also used as well. Le amo means I love him smile

One thing to watch for is how you intend the phrase. If you are in love amo is appropriate, but if for instance some one says "I'm going to a Juanes concert" the better reply would be "me encanta". Amo is for friends and lovers .
