It's not a bad idea for me, because I'm a 31 year old man. It looks like you're a 16 year old girl, so for you, it's probably a bad idea, and potentially illegal depending on where you are and what you're doing.

I agree with Jrey- it depends on how old both people are. 50 and 63- not so bad. 16 and 29, really bad.

In terms of life experience and maturity, a 29 year old should have nothing in common with a 16 year old.

I can understand the 16 year old becoming enamored with the older person, but it's the older person desiring a romantic relationship with someone so far his junior that would concern me.

My guess would be that he has the emotional and mental constitution of a high school kid. Which leads me to ask if he hasn't grown up yet, will he ever?

My parents had the same experience as Alicia above.THey just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. My dad is 86 and mom is 75 (I think) TImes were different when they met.

I have dated people that many years older and younger than I.It really depends on the individual. When I was a teenager and dating older guys I think I wish Goyo was around with his advice!

My parents met when my mom was 18 and my dad was 30. They were married for 54 years, until death parted them.

But I'd be very careful if I were you. There is a world of difference between the maturity of a 16-year-old and that of an 18-year-old. My 22-year-old daughter can testify to that. I'd like to encourage you to look for someone closer to your own age. But really, it's none of my business. What do your parents say about it?

If you're underage, I strongly think it's kinda weird....After all, it's kind of against the law depending on where you live probably.....It is here......

By the way, does anyone think it's weird for a girl to date a guy younger than them? (Even if they're in the same grade?) Just looking for any opinions here....
