How do you send a message to a user on this forum?

I am trying to contact a user and do not know how to send a message. - I just signed up today. Can anyone help?

I am going to edit your spelling and grammmar. We have to use proper English on this site as people are using it for models to learn from.

To send a private email you click on the name below their avatar. This will take you to their private page.Scroll down below their avatar on that page and you will see a link at the bottom that says send private message

To check on your own messages, just click on your own username and you will see a box that shows if you have any unread messages.

You click on the users avatar/name and it will take you to their profile. On the bottom left there is a link to click that says "send private message."

However I'm not really sure as to how to check to see that you've received messages, since I always have to pretend like I'm going to send a message to check to see if I've been sent any.

At the top of the page in the blue bar you will see translations, dictionary, more. Click on more and it will take you to users.

You do need to have at least ten reputation points to use the private messaging feature. I see that you have ten, so you should be able to follow the instructions already given.
