Well, you can also say "Te quiero" and countries have fought wars over whether you should say "Te amo" or whether you should say "Te quiero."

Seriously, these te quiero / te amo threads usually get out to three pages long.

Los dos verbos pueden decir la misma cosa pero hay una diferencia entre el decir te quiero y te amo..se usa el querer para expresar cariño hacia una persona, pero talvez no amor..mientras el amar expresa un sentimiento mas fuerte y profundo.
