ASK A QUESTION "Because I said so"

Admittedly, not a good reason for telling someone to do something....but how would one translate it to spanish?
The translator gives "Porque dije tan" or "Porque yo lo digo". The first doesn't seem correct to me - is the second as close as one can get? Would "Porque ya dije" work?
thanks!

I'd say:
¡Porque dije que si!
- Would it be "...que no!" if the question was "Why can't I go?"? - schub Nov 6, 2009 flag
- Yes, I've heard parents say ¡Porque dije que no! many, many times. - --Mariana-- Nov 6, 2009 flag

In addition to Marianne´s cool answer of ¡Porque dije que no!...
I´m wondering if it would be a common parental thing to say: "Porque no permitolo" or "Porque no permitirélo"
