When referring to hair color, is saying pelo marrón incorrect?

pelo castaño...or castaño oscuro
Marron esta bien, it all depend what part of Latin America y are at, countries like Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Venezuela and others will use marron just fine!
Tengo el pelo marrón. Tienes el pelo marrón. Tiene el pelo marrón.
Well, no, not really, Bernard, welcome to the forum 
we do not use marron for hair colour, we say: moreno or castaño, as Roberto has already pointed out.
