There is a profession called a "Doula" or "Labor Coach" in the United States as well as abroad- it is the woman who helps the mother through labor and delivery- by giving her support, expert advice and natural solutions. Have you found a term anywhere for this profession? I found a Puerto Rican website that describes these women as "Doulas" just as in the English version of the name or "Monitriz" which I'm not familiar with- it might be French....? Have you heard any different? Thanks for your time! Claudia
