Mi tío nació con los pantalones. ¿Entiendes?

Como en inglés, decimos "to die with your boots on" significar "morir oponiendo resistencia". ¿Es mi tío loco, o entendí mal?

(I have a Cuban uncle who says that when he was born, he was wearing pants, and he's serious. Obviously, I don't believe that he was really born with pants on, but when my grandmother said that she didn't believe him, my uncle and his wife got mad and went home.

Does "being born with pants on" mean something more in Spanish or in Cuba? Like in English we say "to die with your boots on" to mean "to die putting up a fight". Is my uncle crazy, or did I misunderstand?)

That almost makes sense. Is this a guess, or have you heard Spanish-speakers use that term with this meaning? - jrey0474 Nov 4
