Why has Sister Andrew got a man's name?

If you were raised "Catholic" you'd understand that when a woman enters the convent - "school / home" for nuns, she often takes the name of a Catholic saint. This is less prevalent today than it was 20 - 30 years ago, but there are many "nuns" named after male "saints".

I should add that St. Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland. Just "google" Saint Andrew.
