"Just as Isabel's Russian dance teacher taught her the abilities that would allow her to go to Mexico City and continue her devlopement, the Russian marxists spread their socialist ideology that would drive the Mexican Revolution."

Gracias. grin

When you say "just as.." Do you mean as an expression of equality or an expression of events happening simultaneously? If you are speaking of equality, you could use "Igual que..." If you are speaking of simultaneous in time, you could say "En el momento que..." This sounds like a very interesting piece you are editing. Is some version of it available to the public?

  • "just as" as an expression of equality. Thanks, I couldn't figure out how to put that into words. "Igual que" works well then. It's just a paper I'm writing for a college class. Thanks. - jroesch Nov 1, 2009 flag
  • "tanto como" would be, I think another possibility for your "just as". - samdie Nov 1, 2009 flag
