That's because you never questioned him. The moment you did he would attack you. As regards an assett, it depends on what you consider the useful and valuable quantity he contributed. It definitly wasn't his knowledge of the Spanish Language. When he was shown his faults by native Spanish speakers he would attack them. In fact, he was responsible for one of out best forers to date, Lazarus, leaving this site. No doubt he will read these comments and be absolutely furious but in his own heart he knows Heidi and I are right.

Just look at the names he chose to boost his own importance.

So sorry that you have to deal with this. I was really surprised to hear that Chamacomalo was in any way connected with Lazarus' departure. I really miss his contributions and noticed his absence from the site at the end of the summer. I don't know if there is any turning back now, but I do hope Lazarus will reconsider.

Also, I hope that no one in the future could ever be so obnoxious as to cause another member to leave this forum.

Heidi's post makes it look like that she is the one who allowed this idiot back on site and that as a result she has caused the problem.

The decision to allow him back was made for a number of reasons and was not Heidi's decision alone. I do not want to go into the reasoning. Suffice it to say all of us who decided to allow him back thought it was the right thing to do at the time. How wrong we all were.

Heidi, you have nothing to feel guilty about. We all decided to give him a chance and he blew it big time. These kisses will keep coming until every member on this site has delivered one, hehe.

If Chamacomalo was also Ikpuede does that mean he was also Residente, another of the problem members??? And for that matter was he also that one woman who was also deleted from the site??? I think he needs to find something better to do!

His consistent message was essentially anti-learning. He almost never wrote a complete sentence in English or Spanish that did not contain grammatical/vocabulary errors (the only exception that I ever noticed was in Spanish but was only three words). His basic message (regarding language) was "Don't worry about grammar and vocabulary! Just say whatever comes naturally!" On the one hand this is an attempt to promote the notion that following the usual rules of grammar (or not using slang all the time) is unnatural and simply shows that you have been intimidated/coerced by the "grammar police" and the advocates of (what he called) "high Spanish", on the other he never got around to explaining how it would be possible for someone learning a second language, to "just say what comes naturally"

For those of you who think that he was cute/funny/interesting, that is certainly because you never posted a reply that disagreed with something that he had said. He consistently interpreted any kind of disagreement with what he posted as a personal attack. Towards people who disagreed with his posted opinions he was often abusive in the open forum and much more so in PMs (his favorite phrase being "You don't want me to make you my personal hobby!" [with overtones that suggest a sociopath/stalker mentality]).

Using his JohnJuan (or vice-versa) alias he has announced that he's moving/moved to New Mexico. If so, that's a good thing (for those of us on the East Coast).

I realize that many others had some run-ins with him, but I never had a cross word with ChamacoMalo. He was different, no doubt, and I'm pretty sure multiple accounts is a violation of TOS.

But I liked the guy and felt he was a unique asset to this site.

I really wish he could have toed the line well enough to have stayed.

I'm glad I was warned about his Spanish being messed up. I would have ran with it. I have noticed lately people were putting "that is wrong" comments under his answers. Thank you Eddy and Heidita for being attentive to the problems and protective of our learning.

We are extremely sorry about this mess caused by this person. I would like to apologize for the PMs received by this very unpleasant being. I would also like to thank those who beared with him and with us, as we should have taken this desicion before.

Yes, he was the sole reason Lazarus is no longer here. What a great loss he was. Chamaco/Ikepuede followed Lazarus' posts, making unpleasant comments and taunting Lazarus to argue with him.

You did the right thing, Heidita! I also forgave him for the mess he caused with you, me, and Lazarus several months ago. However, after his recent actions toward me I would not forgive him again.

Heidita, no worries! Chamacomalo, JuanJohn, Ikpuede, etc. made his own mind up and he made his choice. I have said before, Lazurus leaving was a loss but you did the right thing, actually all of you who said he could come back (Chamacomalo that is) did. It is ashame that he abused this privilage a second (third, fourth) chance. This tells me a little about not just yours but the other admin's character. I am proud and honored to be associated with this site!
