Hi,

I want to say "some companies don't hire people that speak with different accents because it is difficult for customers to understand them"

Is it: "Algunas empresas no contratan personas que hablan con acentos differentes porque es difícil para clientes a comprenderlas"? Is that right or am I way off?

How would you say/rephrase that sentence in Spanish?

Thanks

You're almost spot-on. Remove the "a".

Algunas empresas no contratan a personas que hablan con acentos diferents porque es dificil para los clientes comprenderlos.

add the personal "a"

to me, it makes sense to use "los" instead of "las" because it is difficult for the customers to understand "los acentos," a masculine noun.

if you're trying to say the customers can't understand "las personas" you would use "entenderles."
