I am writing about an accident I had when I was young where I fell on the ground and messed up my front teeth. I want to know how to say I had an accident involving my teeth, in relation to something else in the assignment.

Muchas gracias por su ayuda : )

Jzeegarh:

Why don't you just translate pretty much what you wrote in your question, like this:

I fell on the ground and messed up my front teeth. = Caí a la tierra y dañé mis dientes delanteros.

I think if you investigate this translation closely, you'll see I substituted "dañé" (damaged) for "messed up: because I don't know how to translate "messed up" in this context. Also some would say "al suelo" where I said "a la tierra" (remember 'al' is the abbreviation of 'a el'). Suelo means both floor and ground. For greater certainty, I chose tierra which means earth or ground, but maybe this was wrong.

I hope this is helpful.

Involving can mean regarding, touching, respecting, concerning, about...

So, in addition to Heidita's suggestion, you could possibly use...

I'm a newbie, so it would be better to wait to see if any my suggestions need some sort of corrections (and they probably do) and if any of them would be a preferred way to say such a thing...or if a native speaker would be like "huh?"

Me rompí un diente cuando era pequeño.

Perdí un diente cuando era pequeño.

Me salté un piño cuando era pequeño. wink

Romper/Perder/Saltar dientes/piños

Un saludo!
