For my Spanish paper, I want to say that "...countries continue to have food shortages...".

Is there a more appropriate verb given the context? As it stands, I've written "...países seguien tener una escasez de alimentos..."

I chose to go with seguir for no particular reason, perhaps someone can enlighten me...

países seguien tener una escasez de alimentos..."

siguen teniendo escasez de alimentos

continúan teniendo .....

NO article, you can use either verb.

  • Thanks! Next time I'll proof my question so I don't butcher my conjugations like I did with seguir. Ouch. - tsimkins13 Oct 21, 2009 flag
