Please provide a translation for your favorite word. And why...

My favourite word currently is: Jueves - Thursday. I like the pronunciation of the word, the J and the V making it sound totally different to what it looks like.

Nunca is my favorite word and it means "never".

I don't know why I like it. It's just one of those words that captured my attention early on.

Me gusta la palabra "el murciélago". Se significa "bat"

I believe this is the only Spanish word that uses all of the vowels in one word. I might be wrong but I think so.

I like it because it sounds so suave and cool. It literally rolls off my tongue.

  • Actually there are over 200 words that have all the vowels: angurriento, aperturismo, arquitector, barbiluengo, barquillero, birrectángulo, blanquecino, blanquimento, blanquinegro, etc. But "el murciélago" is a cool word. - Neago Feb 27, 2010 flag

Cabrahigar: To improve a fig-tree; that is, to string up some male figs, and hang them on the branches of the female fig-tree, to make it produce better fruit.

I just like that they even have a word like this, and that they can make combination words out of a verb and a noun that are verbs as well as nouns.
