ASK A QUESTION Hay un modo decir "I will" sin usando un verbo despues?

Really an equivalent to the short answer in English like I will or I can or something do not exist in Spanish.
Sí lo hago.
But you are saying a verb .
We just answer sí o no.
- Thanks. It makes sense to me :D - yvonneibe7 Oct 20, 2009 flag
Yes, you can use it if your answer is immediately after the question. How about this one, you are telling someone, " you can make your bed" and then right away to make your point more stronger you'll say, "yes you can!.....................
Si se puede usar si responde imediatamente a la pregunta o a la orden. Fijese en esto,
Si le estas diciendo a alguien algo como esto, "puedes hacer la cama" y imediatamente para hacer tu punto mas fuerte repites "si puedes".
"Will" as you asked the question yvonne is a Modal word (others include can - could / would / shall - should /may - might etc. As words they do not exist in Spanish - (look for them in your dictionary) Spanish uses verb conjugations to say the same thing - although "should" and "ought to" seem difficult to find exact equivalents of to me.
Also when we use modals in short answers "I can" - "I could" - "I would" etc we are referencing a verb in a preceding sentence or phrase. They can not be said in isolation.
"Sí puedes" = Yes I can - but "puedes" is a verb (poder) and "can" is not.
"Poder" is best translated to English as "to be able (to)"
