if I am male and speaking to female and ask if she is mad do I use o or a

If you are talking about yourself, use masculine. If you are talking about her, use feminine. Examples: "Estoy muy arrenpentido, destrozado, confundido, etc" (I am very regretful, destroyed, confused, etc.) Estás enfadada, enojada, frustrada, enferma, etc?" (Are you mad, angry, frustrated, sick, etc.?)
