You can use peliroja or pelirojo when referring to redheads. I remember that from an early Spanish lesson here.

brunette is "Morena" which in my opinion is pretty close to red-hair.
If your brown-haired wife/girlfriend found a red hair on your collar, would she think they're "pretty close"?!?

But in normal life, you would call the girl with red hair, "la roja" The girl with the blond hair, "la rubia", the tall guy, "el alto", the fat guy, "el gordo", etc. ![]()
