ASK A QUESTION de nuevo?
Hello,
For sometime I have been looking for different ways to express the word again in Spanish. I constantly hear otra vez. Yesterday I was watching tv and heard de nuevo. I looked it up and got the meaning again. My question is, is this form of again interchangeable with otra vez, are there limitations on when and how to use this word phrase. Can I please have examples. Thanks in advance. ![]()

They are used interchangably but "de nuevo" can have the shading of "do over again from the beginning" in English or "do it all over again" rather than just "another repetition" with otra vez.
Hi Tamara,
I hope this helps. WordReference Forums

Si, ambas expresiones son perfectamente intercambiables...
They are interchangeables...
Estoy aquí de nuevo - I´m here again...
No voy a decirte de nuevo. - I´m not going to tell you again.
Quiero jugar otra vez - I want to play again.
Or to ask again?, you ask, ¿Otra vez?
As far as them being interchangeable, I would suppose so. It´s just at times, one sounds better than the other.
