Hi Mason,

I'm pretty sure it's feminine, because it ends in an a, and singular because it has no 's' at the end.

Not necesarily true.Names that end in the letter "a" and are masculine,.......... el dia......el fantasma.........el mapa............ day........ghost..................map............. a better indication is the article preciding the noun and the way the noun is used in the sentence.

Names that end in o and are femenine,................................................... mano....la mano.......radio........la radio ( actually this could be (now days) el radio o la radio.........dinamo (la dinamo)

Gus' rule In a language there are always exception.
