Can anyone help me translate "charter bank" into Spanish? Didn´t get anything convincing from the Translator.

Do you mean "to charter a bank", "a bank charter" or "chartered bank"? How does the word "charter" function - as a verb or an adjective modifying "bank"?

• I meant "chartered bank". Thanks. I keep getting "banco comercial", but that sounds a bit too generic to me. What do you think? - CarlaC Oct 5, 2009
