How could one translate "swine flu" into Spanish. Do I have to say H1N1?

Spanish Newspapers refer to Swine flu as Gripe A

I think it is just called "Gripe A"

The full name would be "Gripe Porcina"

H1N1. wink The World Health Organization (WHO) changed the name of it worldwide because in the early days of this flu, people were hearing the name, "Swine flu" and killing all kinds of swine without due cause. For this reason, the WHO changed the name to H1N1 to avoid getting people all crazed and killing their pigs. wink

Depends what country you are in. Some call it Gripe A, some Gripe Porcina, and some Fiebre Porcina (swine fever).
