Que necesitas?

if what you mean to say is 'i need a serious break' as in life, relationship, vacation even, i would rather say:

'realmente necesito un poco de tiempo' (this being 'i really need some time') or 'necesito tomarme un descanso' ('i need to take a break').

if you could elaborate more i think i could be more helpful.

  • When you need a parentheses in your life, relationship the best is: "Necesito tomarme un descanso" - sdoncel Oct 2, 2009 flag

Necesito un descanso serio de español.

I think would work better...."descanso" is rest, and I think that is what you are getting at with "break". I think "serio" (serious) works better than "grave".

First of all, you need to learn to express you meaning in clear (unambiguous) language. I suspect that you mean that you find the effort of studying Spanish, tiring and that you wish some relief from that effort). If you have been receiving threatening phone calls/letters from the "Spanish language" and wish relief from that, you should probably contact you local police/phone company (or psychiatrist).

If, on the other hand, as I supposed, the issue is the effort required to learn Spanish, ask yourself, "what other language could I choose?" (i.e. "Would something else (French/German/Russian) be easier?").
