merendar in dictionary gives many descriptions which one is the right one exempl; to peeep at someone's cards, to have a picnic, to snack to have tea

Well I likewise have a problem with the English word "trunk".

Is it the front of an elephant, the back of a car, the middle of a tree, or the entirety of a suitcase?

I guess we'd better recognize that every word has a range of meaning, and you can't lock it down to just a simple definition.
