I noticed my reputation went down by 20 points. rolleyes When I clicked the reputation stream, I did not see any entries representing a deduction of points.

Why would we not be allowed to see the reason why we lost points?

(If I have done something egregious I would like to know.)

Moe,

I would have appreciated being able to handle this with you directly.

I have never told you or anyone that the rules are silly. If you go back and review, as I asked you politely to do, my answers to folks seeking help with homework, you will see that over the past few days in particular I have many times over given questioners answers that did not include a literal answer but rather links to various areas here on SpanishDict.com and other sites where they can learn for themselves what they need to know in order to answer their own questions. You will also see comments where I have been personally supportive of you. My answers are often similar in style to your own.

You are holding me accountable for what several other people have been doing and saying to you, and that is not fair.

As for the two remarks you mentioned. The first remark was simply a valid defense of the questioner, not a personal attack. She clearly had already made an effort, where you were accusing her of not having tried. What is personally offensive about defending her in a rational way? As for the second remark, it was also light-hearted, even with a wink.

To take some footwork out of things...here are some links for some of my answers. Respectfully please do review these, and Moe, I am sorry

I think if you take the time to honestly review my track record, you will see that we are on the same side here, and we are both trying to help people learn.

Here is where I defended you:

(I defended you in multiple comments in various answers on the page. I notice you did not flag some comments from others that I do believe actually were offensive towards you.)

Have you checked back on your questions and answers to see which one(s) were flagged? Usually, someone will make a comment there as to why there was a problem with something you posted.

  • Thanks. But noone commented in any of my answers. I see that Moe responded to this question...so I will respond to him. Thanks - arnold3 Sep 30, 2009 flag

I was probably responsible for that.

I found two of your comments in this Post/Thread Go Here were offensive to me at a personal level.

I have been trying to remind members about our rules. I have ended up being told several times that the rules are silly and non-compliance is the standard.

I dont like it. It offends me.

  • Thank you for speaking up Moe. Please review my response above. I have deleted the comments you found offensive. How do we go forward? - arnold3 Sep 30, 2009 flag
  • I´m still waiting for you response to my message above. I also had been reminding others of the same rules, and I did _not_ anywhere say to you the rules are silly. - arnold3 Oct 2, 2009 flag
