adj. (contr. of santo used before masc. names except for Tomás, Tomé, Toribio, and Domingo)

San Martín Saint Martin see santo

feminine=Santa Barbara

From another dictionary:

2 Santo, Santa (San before names of masculine saints except those beginning with D or T)
