Great idea, and much needed. O.K., here goes. Heidi, you already corrected my mistakes in the sentence below.

Yo nunca planto semillas. Mato todas plantas y las flores. Me hace tan triste.

I was just curious. If "pone" means "to put", how does that work in the expression "It makes me so sad."?

• "To put" is "poner". "Pone" would mean "you/he/she/it put[s]" which I guess would translate to "you've put me so sad" - AnnoLoki Sep 25, 2009

cuando lo vio se puso muy contenta she was so happy when she saw it;

se puso como loco he went mad;

~se cómodo to make oneself comfortable
