ASK A QUESTION "There is one" = Hay uno ?
In less 1.15 I wrote at the end. Hay un hotel bueno al sur del museo, y hay uno delante de la comisaría de policía. (There is a good hotel to the south of the museum, and there is one in front of the police station.)
Would hay uno be correct? Translator says yes but I'm feeling it's wrong.
Thanks:D

Uno es correcto por las palabras que son masculinas, pero usa una por las palabras féminas.
Uno is correct for the words that are masculine, but use una for the feminine words.
(for un hotel): Hay uno.
(for una casa): Hay una.
Could it be "Hay es uno" ???
Even though the translator was right this time, you are right to mistrust it.
Could it be "Hay es uno" ???
No, because Hay is not There. Hay is a form of the verb haber. Hay is kind of like saying "It has." "Hay es" would be saying "It has is" and that doesn't make any sense.
I could be wrong, but Spanish appears to have this magical "it" that can have everything, and that kind of works like English's magical "there" where everything can be.
But, whether it's wrong or whether it's right, it helps me to think of it this way.
There is a man in my house --> It has a man in my house --> Hay un hombre en mi casa.
You may also translate hay to "there is/are".
