If I want to say "Jane is only one month old", then is the sentence "Jane tiene solo un mes" correct?

No it is "Jane es sólo un mes de edad".

"Jane es sólo un mes de edad"

It's a literal translation from English, but not correct. One should use the verb "tener" referring to age of somebody. Chavelle was right.
