Hmm, not too sure.
But I do know that quite a few spanish names ARE in fact real spanish words.
Take, Daisy Fuentes for example. Kate del Castillo.
Delgado can be a last name. Those are just a few.
-Charlius-
Linda means good looking in Spanish.
That may be why my nickname is Lindo ![]()
Mi nombre, Christopher dice en english que es de Christ o sea, un buen amigo de Jesus. Bueno, si convertirlo a espanol, dice Christino, Christiano, etc, y esto dice lo mismo...El de Christ, esa persona es un amigo de Jesus, un adherente, uno que siga en los caminos de Jesus. ![]()

Hey,
You can find out some intereting stuff about the meanings behind spanish names on the internet.
All you have to do is do a Google search on www.google.com and stype on spanish names and meanings and it brings up a list of websites you can read.

Almost all Spanish names that I'm aware of (a lot) are directly drawn from, derived from, are variations of, etc, Biblical names, historical/mythological/etc names, patriarchal naming systems dating back to the Middle Ages, Christ himself or the time of Christ and His Apostles, or even before, and common names usually not unique to the Spanish language (i.e. Juan/Juanito/Juana/Juanita, Pedro, Jesus, Cesar, Maria, Teresa, Flor, Manuel, Carlos, Julio, Roberto/Beto/Betito, Jorge, Gabriel/Gabriela, Jose, Lilia/Lili/Liliana, Perla, Blanca, Gerardo,..).
Last names (Apellidos) are actually almost entirely dated back to the Middle Ages or before, varying very little over time (spellings vary more than usage and pronunciation).
Thank you for your help everyone!
