ASK A QUESTION Would "puedo tener otra servilleta, por favor" be the correct way to ask a waiter for another napkin?

Me da otra servilleta por favor?
I think it would be better to say, "¿Puede darme otra servilleta por favor?"
"Ostra?"
I think you mean "Otra"
"Servillata?"=Servilleta
So it would be "Puedo tener una otra servilleta?"

- You also don't need to put una infront of otra, ever. When you want to say "another", you only need to say otra. - Cachai Sep 17, 2009 flag
Might as well correct my mistakes also (on the same subject). When I stop a waiter for more napkins I start saying "Por favor señor," then continue "Traigáme mas servilletas. Of course, if he stops and asks me if I need anything, I would put "por favor" to the end of my request.
That's perfectly fine the way you said it...don't stress yourself. In the due time of things you will speak spanish as perfectly as Heidita. She didn't just spring from the womb speaking that spanish she speaks...she had to learn, stumble, fall, make a fool of herself....until finally she arrived where she is. You'll get there too.
Just take your time, don't get yourself all freaked out....and all in due time! ![]()
