Film terminology

I love discussing film and want to practice my Spanish by writing reviews and participating in forums about cinema. However, I can not find Spanish words for (at least, not the exact words that mean what I want to say ...)

  • acting (in a movie)
  • editing (a film or video)
  • directing (a film or show)
  • writing (as in "the writing was great")
  • dialogue (not a conversation, but the dialogue in general)
  • plot (the story)
  • character(s)
  • lighting
  • sound (overall, not an individual sound)
  • and so on...

I have looked these words up but I'm not sure what I've found is correct for the context I want. I have been searching the WWW for a while.

I guess if I comment on a question the least I can do is vote for it. - Seitheach Sep 17
