Because it is the name of a company, basically, there is no spanish translation for it. It is simply, playdough.

It's "Play-Doh" or "Plastilina."
Here's a tip that helps me out a ton: Whenever you need to know the name for something that might not be in the dictionary, like a term that would probably be in an encyclopedia instead, I go to wikipedia and find the English entry, then go to the bar on the left and switch languages. It will take you to the wiki entry in that language for that specific thing, so you know that it's the correct term. Like for Play-doh, I typed that in, then hit the Español button on the left! It took me to the site, which, just said
Play-Doh ® es una marca de plastilina no tóxica y que no mancha, usada por niños para proyectos artísticos en sus casa y en su escuela.
So, yeah. Plastilina is an acceptable translation, but hlsbookworm is right. Since it's a specific brand - a proper noun - it is unnecessary to translate it, and El Play-doh or Playdough is just as good.
- What a great tip. I've used Wikipedia before but didn't realise you could look for a Spanish equivalent on the same page! - nonombre Sep 16, 2009 flag

- I thought it was "plastilina" also, but if you look up the definition of "plastilina", you come up with Plasticine. :-\ - hlsbookworm Sep 15, 2009 flag
