To plainly answer your question, no, that's not correct. The right way to say it is "tomar una decisión".

You could also use a variant of decidirse depending on the context.

Ok gang; I believe that "tomar" needs to be preceded by "para" in this case for it to mean "to make".

So would this be correct? "para tomar una decisión"
