In a legal document, you can't erase anything but you can scratch out your mistakes.
- What is "Porfa?" Also, "por favor" is the correct spelling not "por fabor." - --Mariana-- Sep 12, 2009 flag
- porfa is short for por fabor ... I heard it use in Guadalajara, Mexico. It means please - 00769608 Sep 12, 2009 flag
- Why are you responding in chatspeak or slag or whatever? Also, you spelled "por favor" incorrectly again. - --Mariana-- Sep 12, 2009 flag
- porfa is not chat speak it is actually the way some people say please. - 00769608 Sep 12, 2009 flag
- So it's slag. Some people say "ain't" in English but I wouldn't advise that to, or use that manner with, someone learning English. - --Mariana-- Sep 12, 2009 flag
It says, I have a blemish on my cheek. The only thing worse than this is a blemish in the middle of my nose. ![]()
- Is this the meaning of tacha in Spain?....thank you - 00769608 Sep 12, 2009 flag
- I could not find the word "majilla" in my dictionary, so looked up blemish. But I figured out that "mejilla" is cheek and "majilla" was not blemish at all. So I guess "tacha" must be blemish? I will look that up now., - Janice Sep 12, 2009 flag
- Ok., let me know,what you find out----por favor. - 00769608 Sep 12, 2009 flag

From my Gran Diccionario Oxford
blemish (noun) (on skin) imperfección
f; a blemish on his reputation -- una mancha en su reputación;
a life without blemish -- (liter) una vida intachable or sin tacha
Tachar is in the dictionary, too, with multiple meanings:
tachar verbo transitivo
1 (en escrito) to cross out;
Tacha éstas de la lista. Cross these off the list
2
(tildar) tachar a alguien DE algo = to brand o label somebody as something
3 (Der) to impeach, discredit
- Thanks, Janice...that's wonderful! - --Mariana-- Sep 12, 2009 flag
