Since no one really answered your question, salimos is "we leave."
- I gave her the infinitive verb...I was hoping she'd learn to use the conjugation tool and actually do some of the work herself. - --Mariana-- Sep 10, 2009 flag

- Sometimes it's actually good to do work on your own and then get corrected. Sounds like a HW question. Maybe not though. :) - Jason7R Sep 11, 2009 flag
Hi Holly. Welcome to the forum. ![]()
The verb is "salir" and you can use the conjugation tool to find "we leave."
the verb is salir, I think...
Most words/verbs in Spanish (or any other language) can be translated by using different verbs depending on context. Without context salir is probably the best choice, but you could use other verbs. (Nos vamos)
To explain my point you might wish to read this article on the meanings of salir:
It seems that I encounter irse much more in spoken Spanish than salir, especially in the past tense. (se fue vs. salió).
In spanish from this side of the world, I usually hear "nos vamos" more than any other expression.
Salir has so many other meanings: go out, come out, etc. that I would prefer to say nos vamos, which only has one meaing: we are leaving.
Dont forget everyone that "dejar" also means to leave and without context, how do we know what the poster means. It is up to them to be more specific when answering questions.
- My understanding is that Salir is to leave as in go out and Dejar is to leave as in to leave something (behind) - caza Sep 11, 2009 flag
- Dejar always requires an object or another verb (dejar de . . .). Since none was specified, it is unlikely that it was intended here. - ribower Sep 11, 2009 flag
- En 1965 me dejé fumar. In 1965 I stopped smoking. use of verb dejarse. - kenwilliams Sep 11, 2009 flag
