I'd rather say la escuela pequeña and las escuelas pequeñas, as adjectives usually follow nouns in Spanish (exeption: una gran casa, un buen chico, un mal perro - shortnened form of grande, bueno and malo).

The singular should be "la pequeña esquela". The plural is "las pequeñas esquelas".
