and what i just learned here in Baja Mexico is..

Siéntate más cerca. - Sit a little closer..... is used than Siéntate más acá.

Hope this helps who is learning Spanish in Mexico. Again this is what i was told, living here in Baja. Also there's another one, when someone needs to move closer to you when eating at the table so they can sit down also, you say "haste para acá".

of course please correct if im wrong.

I wonder what verb "haste" comes from in your expression "haste para acá."
