is alright to use subjunctive or the present?

It's not perfect, but almost. There is a small mistake in the conjugation of "despertar". It is not "despiertarìa". It is "despertaría". The tilde is not right either. It has to be pointing forward, not backwards. The tilde is missing in "día".

The first thing that you need to remember about the subjunctive is that it is not a tense, it is a mood.

The present tense can occur in either the indicative or in the subjunctive.

As to whether your sentence is correct on this or not, my instinct tells me that this would be appropriate to use the subjunctive as you are speaking of a hypothetical condition; however, I should add that my instinct on the subjunctive is only right about 60 or 70 percent of the time.

It seems like you are saying something similar to es probable que which is an impersonal expression that requires the subjunctive (although again I could be wrong). In any event, it seems like the second clause would be said the same as if you had said "it's likely that".

If it were up to me, I would sleep all day

It's likely that I would sleep all day (if it were up to me).

If you were to use the subjunctive, however, I think that the proper tense would be the present me despierte

In English you would say something like:

I am really lazy, and if you left it up to me (if it were up to me), I would get up at 9:30 every day

or another common way you might put it is

I am so lazy that if it were up to me, I wouldn't get up until 9:30 (every day).
