Greetings in Spanish: Just "hola"?

Question

In Sweden we have diffrent greetings. Formal and few informal ones or is it only hola in Spanish? jJust wondering if there are any relaxed greetings in Spanish.

I guess the most commons are "Hola" between young people, familiars and person that you know, "buenos Dìa", "Buenas Tarde" y "Buenas Noche" are formal greetings

Hi dnes, yes we have many relaxed greetings:

¿Qué tal andas?

¿Qué tal todo?

¿Cómo van las cosas?

Hola ¿todo bien?

¿pasa contigo tío? (slang from Madrid)

• Would one also say, "¿pasa contigo tía?" to a female? Or does it not work tht way? - Goyo Sep 9, 2009
