Or, if more than one person, "van al cine" or, in Spain or some parts of South America, "vais al cine." Or, using the future tense, as in "will you (singular) be going to the movies: "Irás al cine." or, if you plural, Irá al cine or Iréis al cine.

How would you say we saw a movie? I don't mean the past tense of "ir" - I mean do you say "we saw a movie."
Do you use "ver" or "mirar" or something else? Same with TV shows. How would you ask "Did you see Ugly Betty last night?" or "Have you seen the episode where Spock fights Kirk?"
