how long will it take me to learn spanish?

It depends on how well you can learn/remember vocabulary and grammar. Even if you are a slow learner, if you stick with it, you will get it eventually!

It depends on how hard you are working and how frequently you use it. As for myself, I have been studying for 4 years (but not intensely, just through school and a bit of my own work) and am at an intermediate level- I can understand conversations as long as they're not too full of slang or expresssions and I can communicate back, but not fluently, and my reach of vocabulary isn't perfect. If you study consistently and with the right support, you could be proficient within a few years.
