ASK A QUESTION What will be in the final Learn Spanish lesson?
Next week will mark the last lesson for the Learn Spanish video series. Wow...60 lessons! I have been throwing around some ideas about what to teach in this lesson like idioms, narrating using the preterit, imperfect, present perfect, and pluperfect, or how to divide words into syllables. But I also thought it would be fun just to have a big long conversation as kind of a final exam.
What do you guys think? How would you like to end the video course? Are there topics I haven't covered? Are there vocabulary words you would like to see?

I would love to see a lesson on idioms. They are a part of every day conversation and we need to know some of the most common or popular ones in order to really be able to communicate in Spanish.
I know there are plenty of books on that topic, but it would be so much more fun if you presented them on video. I think done creatively, in your style of teaching, they would stick in our minds more so than if we just read them dry in a little phrase book.
I am so sad that this is the end. Do you think you will add any lessons in the future?
No Paralee, we attach ourselves to this site because we want to learn Spanish and because we don't want to feel so alone learning it. That is why I haven't even finished your lessons even though I am well beyond the level of 3.2 or wherever. You see, I don't really want the lessons to end. You seem so happy to introduce the next level etc... and I am so happy to listen to your lessons. I don't want it to end. I wonder if you could introduce some "Conversational Spanish" lessons or something so that the lessons could continue. I know it is work for you, but you should understand that after a 10 hour workday I choose to come here and learn Spanish for SOME REASON. I feel if the lessons are completely over then part of the drive to come here will end as well. I enjoy talking to Heidita and Eddy and gfreed and Moe and Valerie, etc.. but the lessons are the driving force behind this site, and I feel that even if it's a new small lesson every 6 months it will at least keep people coming. Having said that, I would love to see the last lesson be an introduction to the new lessons. I love this site, but I do believe it will die without your continued support, and let's face it....you don't come into these forums all that often. All my love, Jeezzle.
I always think of a final exam as something that covers the most difficult parts of a course. And, for native English speakers that is, of course, the subjunctive, por/para and ser/estar.
Granted, you do already have each of those as their own lessons...
A final exam!! ¡Que mala pasada!!
I'd rather commit adultery (Is that an option?).
I'd rather be keelhauled and laid to rest on a bed of fire (I hope these are not options).
Sorry, I don't do final exams.
At my age, I expect to be "grandfathered" into whatever special place is reserved for those who actually do exams.
From my perspective, don't knock yourself out setting up Final Exam.
I enjoy this web site. SpanishDict.com is great. Paralee will one day be canonized (maybe). You have my wholehearted support. Our cleaning lady doesn't do windows and I don't do exams.
To those who like exams and are good at them (I think you are all "bonkers") I'll be on the sidelines cheering for you (in my limited Spanish).

We do not like to end the video course at all
However, if the end really has to come, the best idea would be to make a long conversation. By the way, I wish there were more conversations (video or just text) at spanishdict.com.
I haven´t done all the corses yet. But it would be nice if it was only in spanish, and if I understood most part of it I would be happy.
