Comments disappear when a thread is closed

Question

I just noticed that comments disappear when a thread is closed, which is unfortunate. In this thread, a lot of comments were made, and now they're gone. Is this on the to-do list with regards to fixing? Also, "this post is closed" should be "this thread is closed".

I am wondering this as well. However, when the thread is re-opened, you may or may not be pleased to see that all the comments are still there. I agree this isn´t much use if the thread is never re-opened.

I suspect it's a bug - individual comments that are unwelcome are easily deleted, as was the case in the thread in question, too. Other comments can show insight, as intended.
