Hola,

How would you say "He told me he would be here at 11"

I think it might be: "Me dijo que estaría aquí a las 11"

Any help much appreciated! Rangi

you version doesn't sound bad Rangi, except I would say

"Me dijo que estaría aquí por las 11"

just change the preposition a into por

"Me dijo que llegaría a las once" could also suffice.

Not really. The original sentence was perfect. If you use "por", it means "around 11". If you use "a" it means "at 11".

  • I didn't know this difference, Lazarus; Personally I'd have even write " a las once" with the article, is it fine? - Lyzs Sep 2, 2009 flag
