Could the word be "Huero" ?

Defined as ' a person with light colored hair' ?

  • And we have a winner. This is exactly what I was looking for and, it is what I understood it to mean. - learningespa Aug 30, 2009 flag

The correct spelling is

güey

I found this written by a Mexican:

  1. Si, güey, me quedé de ver con Luis (güey) en el "farbucks" (güey), y me dijo que la (güey) de su novia chocó (güey), que oso (güey)
  2. Oye (güey), no has visto al (güey) de Luis? -aquí güey es "tonto"
  3. Fíjate que el (güey) de Luisa no va a ir -aquí güey es "novio"

I also found this:

wey mexican slang, wey = dude

Although I don't know exactly what is being said, I think the first part is actually "Wey" in Mexico it is term of endearment, among friends.

Could it be you're hearing "way-boe"?

If so, it is huevo, and they are calling you an egg or a testicle.

  • Hmm... I never thought about that, let's see what he says. - LAtINaPunKRO Aug 30, 2009 flag
  • There is a distinct difference between "huevo" and "WAY-DOE" I understand it to mean a light or fair complexed person. - learningespa Aug 30, 2009 flag
