The Kraken: giant sea monster.

It is a fabulous Scandinavian monster (and a Norwegian word), so there is no translation for it, and I've always seen it written "Kraken" in Spanish.

Spanish Wikipedia has the kraken article under "kraken." So I'd say "kraken" simply translates to "kraken."

That's an awesome question, by the way.

  • It is an interesting question. I started to tell him that proper names aren't usually translated unless for pronuciation, but then I thought Kraken probably isn't how it is written in the original greek or latin so I guess we do translate proper names. - qfreed 26 de Ago, 2009 marcar

Well I didn't find "Kraken", but I found Sea monster.

Sea-monster = monstruo marino

"Kraken" is a mithologic creature it has the same name in Spanish.
