Sorry but Cheyenne is not a Spanish word. It comes from the Lakota Sioux tribe.

My daughter has homework regarding the origin, meaning, and pronunciation of her name in spanish. Her name is Cheyenne.
It is not a Spanish name, because Spanish names are unlikely to have double N (nn), and rarely a Y in the middle. The name is originally Sioux, and it will be probably pronounced similarly in Spanish and English.
P.S. I didn't see Yasero's post.

Cheyenne is from Sioux (as someone above said). Cheyenne are a Native American people of the Great Plains. It's also the name of the capital city of the US state of Wyoming and a personal name. There is no equivalent personal name in Spanish for this name.
Now how is this girl supposed to do her homework? Ha ha
My grand-daughter is another Cheyenne. One of its two meanings is Yellow Wolf.
More interesting is that, as the great physicist Professor David Bohm said, All the major 20th Century breakthroughs of human awareness were already built into the Algonquin family of languages. Among these are Cheyenne, Blackfoot (cf. book, "Blackfoot Physics"), various Canadian tribes.
There are many such tribes. Just from their syntax and grammar, these People have tremendous Realization of reality.
The Power of sound is inconceivably majestic. Spanish moves us inwardly into a space that cannot be said, so beautiful is it.
Thanks to you for the participation.
