Yippie, i did it!!

Ok i have Firefox 3.5.2, Windows Vista.

This what i did. Clicked on Tools on the Firefox browser. Clicked on Options. Clicked on the Privacy Tab. Look for the wording "You may want to clear your recent history or remove individual cookies" Put mouse over remove individual cookies and click. Scroll down to SpanishDict, click/highlight it, and the click "remove cookie" Not remove all cookies, maybe you might need them.

Click Ok, close and restart Firefox, and try logging in. Worked for me, now i'm in with Firefox.

good luck, and SpanishDict live long and free.

I have Firefox 3.5.2, and the site seems to work well - except the two-person chat room.

I don't remember doing anything special to Firefox to make this site work - do you know what version you have?

  • I'm also using 3.5.2 and have no problems logging in. - qfreed 24 de Ago, 2009 marcar
  • I normally use Chrome, but Firefox 3.0.13 is working fine for me. - Toph 24 de Ago, 2009 marcar

I've used FireFox for the last year under windows. Due to a recent harddisk failure, I've been using FireFox under Linux and experienced a (single) day during which there was no link for logging in (the problem, however, went away).

most likely, spanishdict.com is using cookies to track your "logged-in" status. if it is, then...

when you log in with internet explorer, spanishdict.com puts a cookie in internet explorer and as you navigate the site, spanishdict.com will look for the "logged-in" cookie. if it finds that cookie, it will display "logout" at the top. if it does not find that cookie, then it will display "login" at the top.

but the "logged-in" cookie is only in internet explorer.

when you then go there with firefox, firefox has no "logged-in" cookie and you must simply click on the login link and login via firefox. when you do, spanishdict.com will store a "logged-in" cookie in firefox as well.

now both browsers will have the cookie and spanishdict.com will display "logout" for each browser.

the cookies will expire in a certain time, and the times will most likely be different for each browser as you likely didn't log in at the same time from each browser.

cheers.

Never had an issue, I use FireFox with both Mac and Windows, also Safari with both. Never had a problem.
